Frequently Asked Questions

Below are some common questions we get asked. We hope this helps answer your questions as well. If not you can send us a question on our contact page.

Is this just available to student or parents of St Stephen's Students?

Not at all – the more the merrier. We understand that many people are wanting to help others but either don’t know where to start or have the time to organise it. We welcome anyone to register as a volunteer and we will do all of the background work for you.

Is there any fee to join?

No, our Service Learning arm operates as part of the School. Any volunteers are already giving their time or donating items that we, and those who receive them, really appreciate.

What is the minimum commitment?

There is no minimum commitment. We understand everyone leads busy lives. Simply register your interest in volunteering and we can let you know when there are opportunities that may suit.

Do I have to have a Working with Children check?

Yes. Working with Children Check are compulsory.

How do I get a Working with Children check?
